Terms & Conditions
These Terms of Service (ToS) govern the relationship between RideDosth (“the Platform”), its registered Cab Drivers (“Service Providers”), and Passengers (“Customers”). By using our interstate aggregator services, airport pickup and drop, and local travel services, you agree to the following terms:
1. Driver Onboarding and Compliance
To maintain high service standards for interstate travel, all drivers must complete our mandatory onboarding process.
• Documentation: Drivers must provide a valid commercial driving license, vehicle registration (RC), and a valid All India Tourist Permit (AITP).
• Verification: RideDosth reserves the right to perform background checks and vehicle inspections. Access to the platform is granted only after successful verification.
• Maintenance: Drivers are independent contractors and are responsible for maintaining their vehicles in accordance with safety and interstate transport laws.
2. Customer Acquisition and Platform Role
RideDosth acts as a digital intermediary/aggregator. We do not provide transportation services ourselves; instead, we facilitate the connection between Customers looking for interstate travel and independent Drivers.
• The Contract: A contract for service is formed directly between the Driver and the Customer once a booking is confirmed.
• Accuracy: Customers must provide accurate pickup and drop-off information to ensure valid matching.
3. Management of Customer Data
Privacy and data security are central to our operations.
• Usage: Customer data (name, contact details, and location) is collected solely to facilitate bookings and ensure safety.
• Sharing: We share specific data (Passenger name/pickup) with the allocated Driver and vice versa.
• Protection: We implement industry-standard encryption. Data is stored in compliance with local regulations and is never sold to third parties. (Refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed data rights.
4. Booking Slots and Driver Allocation
To ensure reliability across long-distance routes:
• Scheduling: Customers may book immediate trips or schedule "Booking Slots" for future travel.
• Allocation Logic: RideDosth uses an automated algorithm to allocate drivers based on proximity, vehicle type, driver rating, and the specific interstate route requirements.
• Acceptance: Allocation is subject to driver availability. RideDosth does not guarantee that every booking request will be matched with a driver.
5. Travel Itinerary and Interstate Transit
• Planned Routes: The platform provides a suggested travel itinerary. While drivers generally follow GPS-optimised routes, deviations may occur due to road conditions, state border closures, or safety concerns.
• Border Formalities: The travel itinerary includes time for mandatory state-border checks. Customers are expected to carry a valid government ID for these inspections.
• Stops: For long-distance interstate travel, the itinerary accounts for reasonable rest stops. Any significant changes to the itinerary requested by the passenger may result in fare adjustments.
6. Cookie Policy
Our website and app use "cookies" and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience.
• Essential Cookies: Required for technical operations, such as keeping you logged in and processing bookings.
• Analytical Cookies: Help us understand how users navigate the platform so we can improve the interstate matching algorithm.
• Control: Users can manage cookie preferences through their browser or device settings. However, disabling essential cookies may prevent the platform from functioning correctly.
7. Limitation of Liability
RideDosth is not liable for:
• Delays caused by traffic, weather, or government-mandated border inspections.
• Loss of personal belongings during the journey.
• Direct or indirect damages arising from the conduct of either the Driver or the Customer.
8. Amendments
RideDosth reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Cancellation and Refund Policy
To maintain a reliable interstate network, RideDosth balances the flexibility needs of passengers with the operational costs incurred by drivers.
• Passenger Cancellations:
o Grace Period: No fee is charged if a cancellation occurs within 10 minutes of booking, provided the driver has not reached the pickup point.
o Interstate Prep Fee: For long-distance bookings (scheduled 12+ hours in advance), a cancellation fee applies if cancelled within 4 hours of the scheduled time to compensate the driver for lost opportunity and route planning.
o No-Show: If a passenger is not at the pickup location within 20 minutes of the scheduled time, the trip is marked as a "No-Show," and a maximum cancellation fee is charged.
• Driver Cancellations: If a driver cancels a confirmed trip without a valid emergency, they may face platform penalties. RideDosth will prioritise re-allocating a new driver to the passenger immediately.
• Refunds: Approved refunds for prepaid trips are processed within 5–7 business days. Refunds for "State Entry Taxes" or "Tolls" are only issued if it is proven that the trip did not enter the specified state or use the specific toll road.
10. Driver Code of Conduct
All drivers registered with RideDosth agree to adhere to the following professional standards:
• Legal Compliance: Drivers must ensure all interstate permits (AITP), insurance, and fitness certificates are active. Driving under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances is grounds for permanent deactivation.
• Professionalism: Drivers must maintain a clean vehicle and behave courteously toward passengers. Harassment, discrimination, or verbal abuse will result in immediate suspension.
• Route Integrity: Drivers should not demand extra cash payments beyond the fare displayed on the app, except for actual state taxes and tolls supported by valid receipts.
• Safety First: Drivers must adhere to speed limits and take mandatory rest breaks for trips exceeding 8 hours to prevent fatigue-related accidents.
• Prohibited Items: Drivers must not use the vehicle to transport illegal goods, commercial contraband, or unaccompanied parcels across state lines.
